At the time of this writing, it’s unclear if the House Cup leaderboard in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery features randomly generated names or if developer Jam City handcrafted the list themselves, though they appear to be randomly generated. Regardless, some celebrity names have been discovered among the huge list of Hogwarts students, including the likes of Emma Watson and Owen Wilson.

Reddit user GyzmoGER discovered that Hollywood actor Owen Wilson could be found on his Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery game.

Meanwhile, Reddit user Koning038 found Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series listed as a fourth year Ravenclaw in the game.

Our own search for celebrity names in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery didn’t yield many results. However, we did find that Jack Thompson is attending Hogwarts with us. Whether it’s the same Jack Thompson known for his many legal crusades against violent video games is anyone’s guess, however.

Besides potential celebrity names found in the House Cup leaderboard, celebrities are present in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery in another capacity as well. While voice acting in the game is relatively sparse, what’s there is actually performed by the movie cast, with the likes of Dame Maggie Smith (Professor McGonagall), Michael Gambon (Professor Dumbledore), Warwick Davis (Professor Flitwick), and more reprising their roles from the films.

In the meantime, it will be interesting to see if other celebrity names are discovered by Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players in the future.
