Hawaii Doctor Urges State To Enact Stay At Home Order As Hospitals Fill With Covid Patients
Dr. Jonathan Dworkin, an infectious diseases specialist in the state, said that with the influx of patients, Hawaii would soon “be in a situation where we’re going to ration health care.” While Dworkin doesn’t favor the idea of another lockdown, he believes it’s better than the alternative of running out of resources to treat patients. “I don’t like the idea of doing that, but we’re in a situation where the hospitals are very strained, where care for non-COVID patients is becoming very difficult, where we’re in danger of running out of oxygen,” Dworkin said....
